はじまりは東京ビジネスデザインアワード
tetoteは、東京都内のものづくり中小企業とデザイナーとが協働することを目的とした事業提案コンペティション「東京ビジネスデザインアワード」にて優秀賞を受賞し、商品化をスタートしました。
tetote's story began with TOKYO BUSINESS DESIGN AWARD, competition for suggesting a new business project. It's main purpose is promoting the collaboration between small or medium enterprises and designers in Tokyo.
tetote won the outstanding performance in the award and after that, we have started productization.

東洋工業株式会社は1947年創業のろうそく・キャンドル専門メーカーです。創業時からのノウハウを伝承しつつ新しい技術を積極的に取り入れ、様々な角度からキャンドルのある生活を提案してきました。
Toyo-kogyo co., ltd. has started their business in 1947 as a candle manufacturer.
Since then, they have been imparting their traditional know-how and assimilating new skills actively. They also have been suggesting a comfort life style with heart-warming candles from various viewpoints.
ろうそくの魅力を広めていきたい
キャンドルの火を眺めていると、心が安らぎ素直な気持ちになれるので自分自身と向き合うことができます。そして大切な人を想い、深い絆が生まれます。
また、キャンドルを囲むことで人と人の距離が自然と近くなるので、心をひらいて普段話せないようなことが話せるようになり、打ち解けあうことができます。
キャンドルの灯りには人の心を映し出す力があるのかもしれません。
キャンドルが繋ぐ心の輪がもっと広がりますように。これからも真摯にキャンドルづくりに取り組んでまいります。
Hoping to spread the charms of candles.
Gazing at the candle lights reminds us of the peaceful and pure mind, so it can help us reflect on our inside. Since it also reminds us of each loved ones, it generates deep bonds between us. Also, sitting around the candle light together brings our hearts closer, so we can talk frankly. Candle lights might reflect our feelings just as they are. We hope to spread such treasured bonds with others more and more. We will keep making effort to produce heart-warming candles sincerely.
